"Knowmads and The Next Renaissance" - My TedxBrisbane Talk

Edward Harran shares his personal story into the knowmad movement: an emerging digital generation that has the capacity to work, learn, move and play - with anybody, anytime, and anywhere. In his energetic talk, Edward gives us a compelling insight into his story and highlights what the knowmads represent: the beginnings of the next renaissance.

In spirit of kaizen, I would love to hear

 your insights;
 your feedback; and
your advice

The mission that seems to be calling me is this:

How do I - and others-  help nurture, accelerate this knowmad movement?

What role can we play in helping this new renaissance (wo)man come alive?

What's next? How do we build on this speech and create meaningful things?

Within me, I am feeling this overwhelming desire, a deep creative impulse. to do something about it.

I am not sure what lies ahead and ( not, but) I am going to trust and remember that good things always happen when you let go and allow. One step. Then another. Then another.

A call to step into the mystery.

A research project?
A book?
A documentary?
A knowmad-in-residence?

I would love to hear from you.

To everyone who has supported me over the years, I am eternally grateful.
This talk is dedicated to you. You know who you are.

Side note:

I posted this on my facebook page and wanted to share it again here.

Here are eight things I learnt in preparing this speech.
1. Simplicity > Complex.
2. Birthing one's truth requires you to go through chaos. Own it and do it anyway.
3. Be a channel, not just a speaker. ( Thx Georg Engeli)
4. Life works its magic when you just chill out and let things be.
5. We are, really, still in the stone age. The good stuff is only just getting started.
6. Fearlessness is not the absence of fear but the acceptance of it. We are all shit scared.
7. You don't have to know whats next. Dive into the ambiguity and good things will come to the surface.
8. People are awesome
